OHFL’s transportation services help seniors get to the hospital, to the store, to a doctor’s appointment, or a social gathering anywhere in Montgomery County. Each person who would like to receive rides from OHFL must first complete the transportation application. Once completed we will notify you when you may begin requesting rides.
When calling make sure to leave your name, address, phone number, and email (if you use one) with our operators. It is best if you give us a week’s notice before your anticipated ride. Our scheduler will get back to you as soon as the ride has been scheduled to verify the details. To schedule a ride please call 301-446-2512.
Although the COVID-19 Vaccine has now been introduced and people are starting to get vaccinated, many of us are still being cautious and not ready to expose ourselves to the possibilities of contracting COVID-19. We want to support your needs and provide services that can help you stay home.
That is why OHFL is now offering seniors that are registered riders with the organization a free pick-up service of prepaid goods.
To receive this free service please make sure you are a current active rider with our organization. You must place the order and pay for it in full before securing a pick-up request with OHFL. We will not handle any payments for this service.
This service can be used for pick-up needs such as (but not limited to) groceries, prescriptions, library books, and more. Once a volunteer is confirmed for your pick-up, you will need to share the pick-up details with our volunteer including location, time, and a confirmation number if applicable. Our drivers will arrange to leave your package at your front door to reduce physical contact.
